SYMPTOM
The air conditioner stops and shows error code “14” on the indoor unit display.
CAUSE
Due to the dispersion characteristic of the active filter and resultant distortion of the
power supply waveform, the active filter’s over-voltage protection circuit could be
activated intermittently.
ACTION
Change C8 from 1000μF 420V to 1500μF 420V.

PROCEDURE FOR CAPACITOR REPLACEMENT
1.  Remove the plug or cut off the breaker.
 CAUTION :
To avoid any electric
shock, leave the unit
disconnected for at least
10 minutes so that the
capacitor can discharge.
2. To ensure the complete discharge of
the original capacitor, short circuit the
red and blue lead wire terminals on the
power factor module.

3. Remove two screws holding the PWB
and unlock two spacers.
4.
Remove the screw holding the
capacitor band and remove the band.
5. Disconnect the lead wires.
6. Connect lead wires to 1500μF
capacitor as original and install with
new capacitor clamp using another
screw hole.
* The blue lead wire should be
connected to the white line side
terminal.
(Refer to the above picture.)
7. Re-assemble the unit.
Use this hole for new band fixing with the screw.
