3  SETTING

3.1.  Connection

Plug in the AC adaptor and the telephone line cord in order (1),(2),(3).

WARNING:

DO NOT CONNECT THE TELEPHONE LINE CORD TO THE PHONE SOCKET (4) UNTIL THE HANDSET IS FULLY
CHARGED.

The AC adaptor must remain connected at all times. (It is normal for the adaptor to feel warm during use.)

This telephone has a single terminal which must be connected to an analog line with RJ11 connector.

The telephone will not work during a power failure. We therefore recommend you use a standard telephone and automatic
change-overswitch to connect this Digital Cordless phone to the telephone line.
Your Panasonic sales shop can offer you more information about connection possibilities.

3.2.  Adding Another Phone

If you want to use a wired telephone connected in parallel you must install an Automatic Switch Unit (AMS).

Automatic switches are eqiupped with a loop detector and can be purchased at any telecommunication dealer.
