This supplement has been issued for changes of Handset P.C.Board. Newer versions of the handset have the EEPROM mask
etched into the BBIC. These “Masked” units can be identified by the absence of IC3 on the component side of the P.C. Board.
The position of IC3 is shown in the “Component View” section of the service manual (section 17.1 or 19.1).
The masked and non-masked P.C.Board parts are both listed in section 3. REPLACEMENT PARTS LIST. Note that the
LCD and P.C.Board are not available separately. This is because the equipment required for bonding the cable to the
P.C.Board is normally beyond the scope of a typical service centre.
