This error is identified when recording 
check finds that the played FM level is 
low (pin 87 of IC601 is below 0.4 V).

E-09 is displays about 
10 seconds.
The cleaner should be

Backup battery 
low power error

defective.
In this case, check if the reel FG and capstan FG signals are supplied normally 
to the CPU.
