11.2.16. High Voltage Value Check Point
Measurement Procedure
1. Turn off the power supply and remove the left cover of the main unit so that the HVPS is revealed.
(To remove the left cover, remove the rear cover in advance. (Refer to How to Remove Rear Cover (P.145).))
2. Remove the developing unit from the main unit and close the front cover of the main unit.
3. Turn on the power supply.
4. The main unit enters the service mode and the push *628. (Don't push the SET button.)
5. Touch the output terminals under test with the high voltage probe.
6. Push the SET button.
(This causes to output high voltage from each terminal, so be careful not to touch them. The sound "Pi Pi Pi" warns that the
high voltage is outputting.)
7. When the measurement is finished, push the STOP button.
(The high voltage output is stopped.)
8. Change the measurement points and repeat step 5~7.
9. When the measurement is finished, turn OFF the power supply.
Each terminal’s output voltage
* FLUKE85 (MULTIMETER) + HIOKI (HV PROVE 9014) or the equivalent should be used as the high voltage measuring instru-
ment.
* The high voltage is output from each terminal during measurement. Be careful not touch the terminal and anything.
