4.2.2.13. Caller ID Reception
The Caller ID signal from Central Office goes through the following circuits.
- Capacitors between TIP/RING and Caller ID Circuit for isolation
- Resistors between capacitors and ASIC for circuit protection or signal level control
- Diodes for protection against incomming surges.
- Capacitors between TIP/RING and Caller ID Circuit for isolation
- Resistors between capacitors and ASIC for circuit protection or signal level control
- Diodes for protection against incomming surges.
Then the Caller ID signal received by Caller ID ASIC(CIDA, IC308, IC409, IC508, IC509).
An ASIC(CIDA) supports four CO lines.
