This section covers the features and specifications of the Parallel Port Interface Kit.

1. Panafax Printing System II

A GDI Printer Driver for Microsoft® Windows® 95, 98 and Windows NT included with this Option Kit enhances the 
functionality of your Panafax facsimile unit by providing a standard Windows interface, which controls the printing function. 
The Panafax Printer Driver software allows the unit to be controlled from within other Windows applications. Documents and 
Graphics created using Windows-based applications can be printed on your Panafax Facsimile (equipped with a Printer 
Interface Option) and provides the following features:

• Support various paper sizes (Letter, Legal and A4)
• Choice of printing orientation (Portrait or Landscape)
• Selectable print quality (300 x 300 or 600 x 600 dpi resolution)
• Selectable paper tray (Auto Tray Selection, Tray No.1, Tray No. 2 or Tray No. 3)
• Choice of gray-scale or black and white printing

2.  Panafax Scanning System

A Twain Scanner Driver for Microsoft® Windows® 95, 98 and Windows NT 4.0.  The Panafax Scanning System enables the 
user to acquire, view and save images to a file on his or her PC connected to a Panasonic facsimile machine. The Panafax 
Scanning System is bundled with the following software:

a. Panafax Twain Driver

This software passes image data acquired by the facsimile scanner to a TWAIN-compliant applications (i.e. Panafax 
Twain Reader) via the TWAIN interface.

b. Panafax Twain Reader

This software lets you acquire images through the Panafax Twain Driver and then view the images and save them in a file 
or transfer to another graphics application for editing.
