Devido às opções de montagem dos
altifalantes versáteis da Série Power Serie,
existem muitas opções de colocação para
conseguir qualidade de som excelente no
seu veículo. Por favor considere o que se
segue para o ajudar a obter o melhor dos
seus altifalantes.
1. A imagem estereofónica mais espaçosa
consegue-se quando os altifalantes direito e
esquerdo são colocados o mais afastados
possível.
2. A melhor imagem central consegue-se
quando a distância do altifalante da esquerda
e da direita estiver o mais igual possível da
sua posição de audição. Isto consegue-se
mais facilmente colocando os altifalantes o
mais para a frente possível.
3. Os graves por natureza são direccionais.
Isto significa que as altas frequências são
reduzidas à medida que se afasta do eixo do
tweeter. Se for possível, rode os altifalantes
de maneira que o ângulo do tweeter fique
apontado através do carro para o ouvinte no
lado oposto. Isto fará com que cada ouvinte
fique ligeiramente fora do eixo em relação ao
tweeter que está mais próximo desse
ouvinte, mas em eixo para o altifalante mais
distante, o que ajuda a compensar para o
facto de que o ouvinte está sempre mais
próximo de um tweeter do que do outro
(veja a Figura 4a e 4b). Escolhendo posições
de montagem que satisfaçam todo o critério
acima, estas proporcionarão a performance
mais satisfatória.

Uma concepção de sistema mais
avançada pode conseguir-se adicionando
um GT, Power, GTi ou subwoofer
equivalente aos seus altifalantes da série
Power Serie. Neste caso os altifalantes
de multi-elemento da série Power Serie
serão utilizados como excitadores de
frequências altas e meio-baixas e
deverão ter as frequências extremamente
baixas bloqueadas por meios eléctricos.
Crossovers passivos ou activos podem
ser utilizados para conseguir a melhor
fidelidade de sistema e a gama dinâmica
mais ampla. Para melhor imagem e
gama dinâmica mais ampla recomenda-
se uma frequência de crossover entre 
80 Hz e 120 Hz.

• Be careful not to cut or drill into fuel
tanks, fuel lines, brake or hydraulic lines,
vacuum lines or electrical wiring when
working on your vehicle. Inspect behind
panels before you cut or drill. 
• Make sure that the speaker will 
physically fit in the mounting location. If
door mounting, check for adequate clear-
ance with the window in both closed and
open positions as well as for interference
with the window crank and power 
window mechanism. If mounting
elsewhere, check for clearance around
rear deck torsion bars, glove box or other
structural elements. 
• Do not mount speakers where they will
get wet.
• Make sure that it will be easy to run 
connecting wires to the speakers. Trace
speaker wire paths before you undertake
mounting.
• Always disconnect the ground wire from
the battery before doing any work on the
vehicle.

Fuel tanks are located directly

beneath the rear deck in some cars. Check
for adequate speaker basket clearance
before considering this location! 

As a result of their high efficiency, all JBL
loudspeakers will produce reasonable
volume levels in the automotive
environment using very little amplifier
power. However, the use of a small
amplifier to attain very high volume levels
could lead to overdriving the amplifier.
This will generate high distortion levels
which can easily damage loudspeakers,
even if the rated power of the amplifier is
below the rated maximum power
handling of the loudspeaker!
As a general rule, do not turn up the 
volume control past the point where 
you hear distortion in the form of either
signal distortion from an overdriven
amplifier or mechanical noise from an
overstressed speaker. 
For the best performance and speaker
reliability, you should select an amplifier
with an output rating slightly higher than
the maximum power likely to be used to
generate the desired volume levels. This
margin of reserve power will ensure that
the amplifier will not attempt to deliver
more power than its design allows.

Playing loud music over

120dB can permanently damage your
hearing. The maximum volume levels
achievable with JBL speakers combined
with high power amplification may
exceed safe levels for extended listening.
When listening at high volume levels,
always use hearing protection or turn the
volume down!
