Conducted test procedure: 
 

 

The power line of the EUT is connected to the LISN (Line Impedance 

Stabilization Network).  A measurement of the emissions are made from the 
power line for both phase A and phase B on the analyzer in the frequency range 
from 150 kHz to 30 MHz.  The maximum readings are recorded for each phase. 

 
 
Disturbance power test procedure: 
 

 

The EUT, associated cables and peripheral devices are placed on the 

supporting table with any support equipment placed off the site.  The EUT is 
turned on and any necessary operating or test software installed and is 
allowed to warm up.  A cable of 6 meters (or maximum length possible) is 
placed into the clamp.  The frequency band from 30 MHz to 300 MHz is scanned.  
The clamp is moved along the length of cable.  When a signal is found the 
emission is measured by moving the clamp to the area of the cable where the 
maximum signal can be obtained.  The maximum reading is recorded and the next 
signal is searched for.  The test is repeated on all interconnecting cables. 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 

All measurements are made according to the procedures defined  in:  

"EN55013: 2001 Sound and television broadcast receivers and associated 
equipment- Radio disturbance characteristics- Limits and methods of 
measurement." Also, the procedures defined in "EN55022: 1994 Limits and 
methods of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of information 
technology equipment" & "ACA AS/NZ 3548:1995 Limits and methods of measurement 
of radio disturbance characteristics of information technology equipment" are 
taken into account during Radiated and Conducted measurements for the purpose 
of including FCC and Canadian Requirements.
