Preventive action / no sound in tweeters
 
Preventive action: In the event you receive an SB400CNTR/230 for repair, make sure to perform the following 
modification, if it has not already been done: Change SMD coil FB810 to a 0 Ohm resistor on the back of the main 
board to prevent damage to 
tweeters or amplifiers
.

No sound in tweeters: 
Perform above preventive action. Check if tweeter or amplifier is damaged: replace defect parts.  
 
Procedure: 
•  Gently remove the front speaker grill. Use a screwdriver, wrap tip in a clean cloth. 

•  Insert the tool into the gap at the end (as close to the middle holder as possible), see picture below: 
 
•  Use force to push the screwdriver downward, as indicated with the arrow in the picture below. This releases 
the grill from the cabinet.

•  Lift the grill away from the cabinet with care, as shown by the arrows in the pictures below. 
 
•  Remove the 18 screws shown below, and lift off the front panel. 
 
•  Remove 6 screws on the main board as shown below.

•  For preventive action, change FB810 to a 0Ω resistor on the back of the main board, as shown below. 
 
• 
If tweeter or amplifier is damaged: replace defect parts.
 
•  Reassemble and test the unit.
