Subject: Internal pin connectors work loose, contacts are lost intermittently, unit does not operate or no sound.
Failure modes:
CN 1 connector loose, resulting in constant or intermittent “No Sound” on speaker out (headphone ok).
CN 3 connector loose, result: unit does not operate, or no sound in speakers and headphones (both can be
intermittent).
In the event you receive a MAS amplifier unit with the above-mentioned complaint, follow the procedure
below:
Synopsis: Mount connector CN1 and CN3 and add adhesive to prevent the connector working loose again.
PARTS REQUIRED: Adhesive (contact glue).
PARTS REQUIRED: Adhesive (contact glue).
1. Remove the Top Cover, 19 Phillips screws and remove the Volume knob.
2. Locate CN1 and CN3 on the Amp board
3. Push the two connectors in; make sure the lock is fastened.

CN1 GOOD
CN3 NG
CN3 Good
4. Add adhesive to prevent the connector loosening again. Be careful to avoid glue on the circuit board or
inside the connector.
5. Replace the top cover.
6. Test the unit
