Subject: Noise Artifacts in 1080p Video
In the event you receive an AVR247, AVR347, or AVR350 with the following complaint: “when using a
video source, output 1080p, there are video artifacts resembling blue/white sparkles or dots,
particularly during dark backgrounds, with on-screen movement”, perform the following procedure:

rated* soldering equipment will be required.
1) Remove the top cover.

3) Locate the two areas on the bottom side of the PCB where the following parts should be added:
Location #1 and #2: 15pF cap (ceramic/50V) & 220kΩ (resistor 1/8 Watt/5%)
Attach both in parallel, in both locations, JBL part# 140-50N2-150J-RC and JBL part# 299-220K-RC.

a. You will need a DVD player capable of and set to 1080p via the HDMI cable, connected to the
AVR receiver.
b. You will need DVD title “Crank”. Select Mulit-CH PCM 6.1 audio format in the DVD’s menu.
