DB1230
3A, 700KHz, Synchronous Step-down Converter
Preliminary Datasheet DB1230P-02
19. Oct. 2011
1 of 19
DESCRIPTION
The DB1230 is a high frequency synchronous
rectified step-down regulator which integrates an
110mΩ high-side power MOSFET and an 85mΩ
low-side power MOSFET.
It provides easy & compact solution to implement
3A continuous output current over a wide range
input from 4.5V to 16V with a good load and line
regulation.
The current-mode control operation provides a
good loop-stability under any system condition
and fast transient response.
According to an internal compensation and a high
frequency operation, the DB1230 requires a few
number of external components mentioned in the
basic dc-dc power system.
The built-in protections are allowed to have a
simple design and a robust operation.
For a good thermal performance, the DB1230
uses an internal temperature independent voltage
reference and the package that has low θ
JA

(<50°C/W)
It is available in 8-pin SOP-EP or 14-pin TSSOP
package with an exposed pad.
