The LOGO file is called LOGO.PRN which is created using the Convertor CONV.EXE,
which can be found contained in the upgrade file. The file should be used as follows. Copy
CONV.EXE into the Windows\Command directory on your PC or \Dos if using a Dos
PC. Then after creating a Logo in a graphics package (N.B The File created must be a 256
colour PCX File with a maximum size of 400x240 pixcels any size less than this can be
used as long as the two dimensions are in a value divisible by 8). When this file is created
switch your PC to the directory where the PCX file is resident and enter
CONV {filename}.PCX.
This will create a file called {filename}.PRN. Rename this file to LOGO.PRN and copy
it into the RAM\USR\EX directory on your PC resident application, overwriting the
standard Logo file. This is best done at the PC prior to Downloading to a POS.
If you wish to add this Logo to a live machine carry out the following :-
1.
In the directory where LOGO.PRN is resident copy the file
LOGOFR.BAT (For a FLASH/RAM POS) or LOGOHD.BAT (For a
Hard Disk POS) and a copy of APLDDOS.EXE to the
Windows\Command directory on your PC or \Dos if using a Dos PC.
These files are contained within the Upgrade file. Then connect your PC
to a POS using an APLD cable and enter LOGOFR path the PC
Command prompt. The logo will be installed.
The logo is automatically loaded into the printers on boot up or if you want simply add
the following macro to the Function Keys Logged off on the POS Keyboard
XC,nXO,mmmXO,XM10,XM8,XM2
where n is the server number and mmm is the password for server n. This should only be
